Here's how it works: An employee or family member visits the dentist and receives dental care. The claim is submitted to your plan administrator (like MDB), usually by the dentist. The plan administrator (MDB) processes the claim, determines the plan and patient responsibility and writes a check from the plan fund you have set up. The employee and dental office receive an explanation of benefits, usually within seven days, if MDB is the administrator.
